2012 was a stellar year for the international Christie’s Photographs department, with record breaking sales in London, New York and Paris, placing Christie’s as the leaders in the field in this category once again.

Last Spring in London saw especially impressive results for works by Peter Beard, Patrick Demarchelier, David Lachapelle, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
