Invitation to Consign: Victorian & British Impressionist Art

The two Victorian & British Impressionist Art sales in 2012, in May and December, saw remarkable records achieved for paintings and watercolours by artists such as Rossetti, Godward and Webbe from a broad range of international bidders, Notable prices were also achieved for other artists such as Seago, Munnings, Leighton, and Millais. We look forward to generating comparable results in the year ahead.

With the Pre-Raphaelites:Victorian Avant Garde exhibition leaving Tate Britain to tour to Moscow, Washington and Tokyo we look forward to increased global interest in works by the Pre-Raphaelites. Paintings, drawings and watercolours by the Newlyn School, and British Impressionist artists such as Clausen and La Thangue also continue to be sought after.

Following our excellent results in 2012 we are currently seeking consignments for our next Victorian & British Impressionist Art sale at Christie’s King Street on 11 July 2013.

If you are interested in consigning to our May sale and would like to arrange an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact the department directly.

Consignment Deadline: 24 April 2013
