A QINGBAI CARVED PETAL-LOBED BOWL
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The slightly rounded, flared sides rising to the slightly everted, petal-lobed rim cut with six notches, the interior carved with a leafy, scrolling stem bearing three flowers reserved on a rouletted ground below a single line border, covered overall with a glaze of pale aqua color that continues over the tapered foot ring and ends in a circle around the unglazed center of the base burnt pale brown in the firing
