Lot Notes

The Haut à Courroies was first designed by Hermès circa 1900, originally to carry equestrian kit, including saddles. It quickly became popular as a travel bag, and ultimately inspired the Birkin. It is the oldest travel bag still in production at Hermès.

This example is extraordinarily rare. Hermès produce no more than 5 crocodile bags of this size a year, and fewer in such a rich colour.

This item may be subject to export and/or import restrictions. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to obtain any necessary permissions.

Sold with a letter of origin from Hermès. See department for details.
