Lot Essay

Andele Andeles or Andele Eyses (1689-1754) was apprenticed to P. Dortsman in 1699, and became a master in Leeuwarden in 1709. The present caster, with its simple cylindrical form and the sparse decoration on the lid is a good example of Andele's style.
