AN NORTH ITALIAN WALNUT AND FRUITWOOD (CERTOSINA) CASSONE
PROBABLY FRIULI, LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Inlaid overall with geometric banding, the rectangular hinged top with moulded edge above a panelled front decorated with lozenges, the sides conformingly decorated, on a moulded base and paw feet, formerly with small compartment to the interior
