Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond and Lennox KG, in scarlet coat with green facings and gold epaulettes, wearing the breast-star of the Order of the Garter
signed and dated 'Copied by HCollen 1823', gilt wood frame with green velvet mount
rectangular, 2¾ x 2¼ in. (70 x 57 mm.); and a gentleman in black coat (English School, circa 1820) (2)

Lot Essay

Chalres Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond and Lennox KG (1764-1819) was a British soldier, politician and Governor General of British North America. He married Lady Charlotte Gordon, daughter of the 4th Duke of Gordon. His third daughter, Georgiana married William, Lord de Ros in 1824.
