Lot Notes

This work is number 8 from the sold-out edition of 8 + 2 AP.

In his images of snowy Sweden, Eneroth evokes the crisp, idealistic serenity of Nordic winter. Beneath the placid surface, however, lurk the larger questions of isolation and loneliness that come with seeking this quiet security.

Eneroth's work has been exhibited internationally in dozens of solo and group shows. He is the recipient of numerous grants and awards and his works are held in private and institutional collections, including The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and The Museum of Modern Art, Stockholm. His forthcoming book, Swedish Red will be published by Steidl later this year. He lives and works in Johanneshov, Sweden.
