Lot Essay

Il y a 200 millions d'années environ, le genre Araucaria était présent sur une bonne partie du Gondwana. Sur ce spécimen les écailles sont parfaitement conservées et on remarque parfaitement la forme typique que ce fruit emprunte pour ce type de conifère. Ils constituaient une partie de l'alimentation de nombreux dinosaures herbivores. Très belle fossilisation.
