The front and two sides carved with niches, those on the front depicting Maitreya Buddha seated between two bodhisattvas, and in the lower niche Buddha seated on a lotus base with right hand in abhaya mudra and flanked by two acolytes, three of the niches on the sides depicting Buddha and one depicting a standing bodhisattva, the back carved with an apocryphal four-character date reading Long an er nian, corresponding to 398
