A SICILIAN TERRACOTTA FEEDING BOTTLE IN THE FORM OF A MOUSE
4TH CENTURY B.C.
With front paws raised to the mouth, prominent eyes and ears, with tapered side spout and central aperture with strap handle on centre back, 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high; an Apulian gnathia ware skyphos decorated with yellow and white added details, a lion with ivy trail above, pendant bands and rosettes, the reverse similar with swan, repaired with damage, circa 340-330 B.C., 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; and a Gnathia ware lebes gamikos, the high knopped lid decorated with a pair of hounds, ivy trail and pendant bands on the front of the body, 4th Century B.C., 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high incl. lid (3)
