A SIOUX BEADED AND FRINGED HIDE TOBACCO BAG
of tapering form, sinew sewn and lane-stitched in classic bead colors, one side decorated with a pair of tall triangles, each surmounted by an American flag, the other side with a pair of elongated hourglass motifs, top panel with a ticked band along each side and banded pattern around the opening, a panel of rawhide slats below, wrapped with yellow, brown, purple and red-dyed porcupine quills, with four concentric rectangles, panel of hide fringe, painted with yellow ochre, along the bottom
Length: 36 in. (91.5 cm.) overall
