Christie's has been active in Italy since 1958, when renowned art expert Hans Baeker opened an office in Rome. Since September 2006, Christie’s Italy headquarters is based in Milan at Via dei Bossi, 4, and all auctions and viewings are held at the nearby Palazzo Clerici.

Today, auctions are held twice a year in the spring and fall, with a focus on Jewels, Modern & Contemporary Art and Old Master Pictures.
