“We are very pleased with the results of the sale. The world record price achieved for the James Bond gun demonstrates the great International appeal of the Bond franchise. The films have now been running since 1962, are loved by generations, and have a truly global appeal as illustrated by the diversity of bidding seen today. The market for James Bond memorabilia is well-established, and continues to grow – another highlight of the sale was a .41 (Rimfire) Remington Arms Derringer gun used by Knick Knack in The Man With The Golden Gun in 1974, which sold for £15,000.

The sale generated significant global interest, particularly from young collectors, and a total of 41% of lots were sold or directly underbid online via Christie’s LIVE.”
