Deborah Coy returned to Christie’s in 2011 as Vice President, Senior Specialist for 19th Century European Art. From 2009 until 2011 she was Head of European Paintings at another major auction house in New York, and from 2003 to 2009, she was Head of the 19th Century European Department at Christie's New York. Deborah also served for 15 years as Senior Fine Arts Appraiser in Christie’s Estates & Appraisals department, where her responsibilities included appraising paintings and drawings from all areas and centuries. In her current role, Ms. Coy is responsible for organizing the department’s sales, overseeing appraisals, and piloting long-term business and client development.
Ms. Coy earned her B.A. in Art History from Wellesley College, an M.A. in Art History from Williams College, and holds a J.D. from Villanova University.
