Lord Stevenson of Coddenham will welcome guests to the Gala Private View of the first
Lumen Prize exhibition, in aid of
Peace Direct, at Gallery 27, 27 Cork Street, W1S 3NG on 21 January.
The Lumen Prize is the first competition for digitally-created fine art by artists from around the world. The winners were selected by an international jury panel from over 500 works submitted from over 30 countries globally, all of which were created with a wide range of cutting-edge tools, including tablets, smartphones, digital photography software and moving-image technology.
This will be the first opportunity to catch sight of the
Exhibition 50, chosen by our international panel of judges, meet some of the artists, and take part in an auction of selected works, with proceeds going to Peace Direct.
Christie’s auctioneer Hugh Edmeades will oversee the auction of 15 lots. Each image in the auction will be sold as a fine quality digital print on A3 Hahnemuehle paper, and will be the first print in an exclusive Lumen Prize Exhibition edition, hologrammed and numbered 1/100. Each will be accompanied by a digital file of the image. Champagne and canapés will be served.
