The Collection of the late Lord Weidenfeld GBE: A Life of Ideals and Ideas

London, 18 May 2017

This May, Christie’s is delighted to present the magnificent collection of Lord Weidenfeld. The renowned publisher and philanthropist was a passionate collector of Old Master paintings, sculpture and important 20th-century works on paper, as well as furniture, prints and Chinese porcelain. The eclectic interiors at Chelsea Embankment were arranged with great flair by interior designer Geoffrey Bennison and Lord Weidenfeld himself, and served as a stunning backdrop for entertaining the giants of the political and media worlds.
