Reception and private view of auction highlights from the November 2016 sales of Post War & Contemporary and Impressionist and Modern Art at the UTA Artist Space in Boyle Heights, California. The evening featured a conversation with Benjamin Millepied, co-founder of L.A. Dance Project. He discussed the influence of contemporary art on his work followed by a performance by the L.A. Dance Project.
Intimate dinner and charity auction for sixty guests hosted by Christie’s at Spago in Beverly Hills to celebrate the release of “My Elizabeth” by Firooz Zahedi. Auction proceeds, totaling $91,000, benefited The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. The evening was hosted by Bruce Weber, Aileen Getty, Beth Rudin DeWoody, and Sonya Roth.
Intimate dinner and private viewing of the collaboration between Mark Bradford and the Steinway Commission to benefit the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Walker Arts Center. Sonya Roth and Philippe Vergne (Director, MOCA) host the event for 35 guests in a private gallery space in Los Angeles.
Private reception and dinner for sixty guests at Spago in Beverly Hills to celebrate Christie’s auction of the Private Collection of President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan. Ambassador Robert Tuttle, Mrs. Maria Hummer-Tuttle, Brook Hazelton, and Sonya Roth hosted the event. Notable Los Angeles residents, members of the Reagan Foundation, and more previewed top auction highlights on view throughout the evening. Over 952 lots encompassing furniture, decorative pieces, books, memorabilia, jewelry and artworks were sold at Christie’s New York from September 19-28 to benefit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute.
