London | 13-17 June 2014

An Egyptian painted limestone statue, ‘Sekhemka’, circa 2450-2300, Hendrick Goltzius’s visceral self-study of an artist’s mutilated hand and Andy Warhol’s haunting portrait of Jackie Kennedy as a veiled widow are three masterpieces to star in a free, five-day curated exhibition to be staged at Christie’s King Street from 13-17 June. “The best of everything, open to everyone, Open House 2014 is a curtain raiser for the summer auctions in late June and early July - 100 timeless international masterpieces encompassing over four thousand years of history, and celebrating the extraordinary and the eclectic,” says Jussi Pylkkänen, President Christie’s EMERI. Exemplifying Christie’s passion for connecting art and people, Open House 2014 celebrates creativity, artists and cultural values, whether east or west, ancient or modern, and is the sixth in a series of annual exhibitions staged each summer at Christie’s in London.

We look forward to welcoming you in our galleries and salerooms this summer.
