Pablo Picasso’s Tête de femme (Jacqueline) was the top lot sold at Christie's 2 February Impressionist and Modern Evening Art Evening Sale in London. The work, a portrait of the artist’s second wife who became the most important of all his Muses and models, sold to an anonymous telephone bidder for £8,105,250 against a pre-sale estimate of £3 million to £4 million.
