A pair of George II ormolu three-light candelabra, almost certainly designed by James 'Athenian' Stuart and probably supplied by Diederich Nicolaus Anderson, circa 1758-65, sold for £217,250 at The Spencer House Sale on 8 July in London. The auction took place at King Street and offered an important selection of 78 lots of furniture, works of art and porcelain formerly from Spencer House, the London town house of the Spencer family until 1924.
