Madeira is a small island 600 km west of Morocco. It is responsible for creating some of the finest fortified wines known to the world. The production is unique as the wine is oxidized in the cask unlike any other drink. 450 ha produce all the world’s Madeira varying from dry to sweet.
James Christie sold a bottle of Madeira in his very first auction 250 years ago and now we are presenting a unique selection of Madeira with bottles from the 18th century to the 20th century. It is the perfect opportunity to begin or develop your own collection of history in a bottle.
