360 View: Original Darth Vader Mask and Helmet from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

One of the first characters conceived by George Lucas, the wide range of influences upon Darth Vader's appearance are well documented - part Samurai Warrior, part Fascist army uniform, a monk's cloak, motorcycle rider's protective leathers amongst others. But ultimately it was Ralph McQuarrie's concept drawing based on Lucas' vision that would give sculptor Bian Muir the stimulus to create the distinctive helmet and armour.
