Elizabeth Taylor established The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) in 1991, having been involved in the struggle against AIDS since the early 1980s. Active in bringing together the arts, entertainment and fashion worlds in the fight for AIDS awareness, she appeared at Congress, lectures and benefits around the world. ETAF provides funding to AIDS service organizations throughout the world to assist those living with HIV and AIDS.
