Christie’s auctions of Impressionist and Modern Art in London between 6 and 8 February realized £160,378,125/ $250,911,062/ €185,057,306, demonstrating the continued growth in global participation from new and established buyers at every price level of the market. The top price from the series of sales was paid for Jeanne Hébuterne (au chapeau), 1919, by Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920) which sold for £26,921,250/ $42,104,835/ €31,040,201 (estimate: £16-22 million). In total, 32 lots sold for over £1 million (43 for over $1 million).
