The 20th Century British & Irish Art Evening Sale including The Lord Forte Collection of Works by L.S. Lowry took place on 16 November 2011 in London, King Street and totaled £23,625,000 ($36,760,500). The sale included works by L.S Lowry, Sir Alfred James Munnings, and Ben Nicholson. L.S. Lowry's Piccadilly Circus, London was sold for £5,641,250 ($8,890,610) acheiving two world records: Joint Highest World Record Price for the Artist at Auction and Joint Highest World Record Price for the Category at Auction.
