In the Saleroom: An Extremely Fine and Important Wristwatch by Patek Philippe

This fine and possibly unique 18K white gold cushion-shaped single button chronograph wristwatch by Patek Philippe sold for CHF3,235,000 ($3,676,136) at the Important Watches sale on 16 May 2011 in Geneva. This important watch was sold on 21 November 1931, in the midst of the Great Depression, most certainly made upon special request by one of Philippe's most important patrons.
