Invitation to Consign: Fine Wines

World leader of the wine auction market in 2012, Christie’s has followed this success with exceptional results in Paris and Geneva in the first half of 2013, while launching its first online only sale in Europe.

Highlights of this year include great vintages of Bordeaux which continue to fetch high prices, such as the Pétrus 1982 sold for €40,950 in Paris on 28 June or the vertical of Mouton-Rothschild from 1945 to 2008 sold for €207,700 in Geneva on 14 May.

Continuing to be reappraised and still more valued – notably by far-eastern collectors who accounted for a third of the buyers of our last Parisian auction – wines of Bourgogne also reach exceptional sell-through rates at Christie’s: Henri Jayer wines were 100% sold by lot during this sale.

At the same time, the Paris department launched online only auctions in order to make its offerings more easily accessible to all wine lovers, whether they are seasoned collectors or new to the market. For its premiere in Europe, 5,000 bottles ranging from €80 to €15,000 were offered at auction online.

Our specialists are now accepting consignments for their upcoming sales. Please do not hesitate to contact them for free and confidential valuations of your collection.
