New York-based artist Kalup Linzy performs Keep It Moving, a transitional work accompanied by a seven-piece band, in the atrium of Christie's Rockefeller Center on the evening of March 7, 2011. The performance was made possible by a partnership between Christie's and Performa, in celebration of their upcoming biennial, Performa 11. Guests also previewed works from First Open, Christie's auction of Post-War and Contemporary Art on March 10, 2011.
Kalup Linzy is a writer, director, actor, singer, and songwriter, whose work draws on American pop and counter-culture genres including performance and video art, reality TV, soap operas, and gay drag performances. (RT: 3:46)
