As the New York sales of Post-War and Contemporary Art approach, we present a preview of the masterpieces on show at Christie’s Paris during FIAC, France’s leading modern and contemporary art fair.
In the Christie's exhibition galleries, a crowd of young collectors, prominent gallerists and connoisseurs gathered to view two iconic works by Warhol, Marlon and the 3-D painting Statue of Liberty; a record breaking Jean-Michel Basquiat, poised to achieve the highest price for the artist; a superb Spider by Louise Bourgeois and many other highlights, including masterpieces by John Currin, Pierre Soulages, Yves Klein, George Condo and Edward Hopper.
