Primarily known for his lighting designs manufactured by Gispen, Oud's ouevre as a designer of tubular steel furniture has been less widely documented. Oud produced a variety of chair designs in the late 1920s and early 1930s, some of which displayed great inventiveness in their design, however none were produced in any quantity.
