    A GROUP OF FIVE MOTHER-OF-PEARL FISH-SHAPED PENDANTS, LATE SHANG DYNASTY (1600-1100BC)
    of varying heights, each carved with split tails and raised fin to one edge, drills holes towards the mouth of the fish, within a fitted wood box; together with six small jade fish pendants, each with cinnabar remains to surface, two of similar greyish celadon tone, of curved form with notched tail, drill holes to the mouth; a celadon jade slender fish pendant with incised fin detailing; a grey jade pendant with bird and fish motives; and two further fish pendants of the wider flattened form, of an altered buff tone with notched tails and incised fin detailing -- the first, 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) high. (11)
