    THREE JADE CEREMONIAL BLADES, SHANG DYNASTY (1600-1100BC)
    the first of a mottled dark grey tone, of pointed form, with a round drill hole to the tang; the second of translucent grey-green tone, of flattened rectangular broadening form, with one large drill hole to the narrow end; and a further mottled black and white jade rectangular blade with slightly flaring sides, the stone altered to white in areas, carved with four projecting teeth on either side and a large drill hole between them -- the first, 10 9/16in. (26.8cm.) long. (3)
