    Sugata [configuration]: shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, saki-zori curve, chu-kissaki
    Kitae [forging pattern]: flowing itame with jinie, jifu, and utsuri
    Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome with togari-ba, many yo, sunaashi and obiyaki
    Boshi [tip]: midare, kaen style
    Nakago [tang]: ubu, possibly slight adjustment of the machi, two mekugi-ana, katte sagari (file marks), ha-agari kurijiri
    Habaki [collar]: single gilt-copper

    Horimono [carving]: kaku-dome bohi with soebi and kuwagata (stylized horns) on both sides
    Koshirae [mounting]: the uchigatana mounting with black-lacquered scabbard, green hilt binding, round tsuba of shakudo nanako carved with basketry within an arched octagonal, the fuchi-kashira of shakudo migakiji with uchiwa fans inlaid in fine gold and copper ito-zogan signed Jochiku, the menuki of shakudo and gold depicting flying creatures, kozuka of shakudo and shibuichi with a water-beetle and poem in gold and silver inlay, the kogai of shakudo and shibuichi with a flowering plum bough carved in katakiri-bori and with copper and gold inlay (2)
