    FIRST HALF OF THE 17TH CENTURY
    Comprising burgonet with two-piece skull fitted with up-turned peak, neck-guard, and a pair of hinged cheek-pieces, gorget of one plate front and rear, a pair of short spaulders each of five lames moving on sliding rivets, breast-plate with medial ridge drawn down to a small blunt point and fitted with a single waist-lame, matching back-plate with short extensions at the sides and single skirt-lame, and plain turned edges throughout (internal leathers torn, the breast- and back-plate rivets and buckles all replaced); on an iron wall bracket
