    LATE 16TH CENTURY- CIRCA 1600
    Composed of an 'Almain collar' of two hinged plates, the front struck with a mark, the arms of the Electors of Saxony, and carrying a pair of short spaulders, a cuirass of matched plates, the breast-plate of peascod form engraved with leaf ornament below the neck, the back struck with a mark, a row of three crowns, each with scalloped basal flange, embossed double fluted shaped lines across the top, interlaced patterns roll-engraved within the white bands, and turned roped edges, together with a pair of elbow-gauntlets each struck with a mark, crossed daggers in a shield, and with turned indented edges
