    With flat double-edged blade with rounded point (the edges chipped), etched on both sides of the forte with sprays of flowers enclosing differing warrior figures and German couplet inscriptions, one possibly incorporating the date (16)82 (rubbed), iron hilt formed with a pair of acutely recurved near-annular quillons, barrel-shaped pommel with prominant button, and original grip with patterned wire binding and 'Turk's heads' (binding incomplete)
