    A GERMAN FLUTED FULL ARMOUR IN THE STYLE OF CIRCA 1525-30
    19TH CENTURY
    Comprising close helmet with one-piece skull fitted with an additional pivoted plate over the brow, 'bellows' visor, chinpiece, neck-guard of two lames and fitted with plume-holder, gorget of four lames front and rear, breast-plate of globose type embossed with an alternating pattern of flutes and raised boldly cabled ridges, fitted with arm gussets moving on sliding rivets, skirt of three lames carrying a pair of short tassets and embossed en suite with the central portion of the breast, fluted lance-rest, back-plate also matching the breast-plate, a pair of full arm defences including large spaudlers fitted with haute-pieces, a pair of mitten-gauntlets, a pair of full leg defences including cuisses of two-part construction, poleyns and large 'bear-paw' sabatons all with embossed and fluted patterns matching the breast- and back-plates, and with matching recessed borders and turned roped edges throughout (sold without a stand).
