    Edo period (17th century), signed Musashi daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro and dated and inscribed Kan'ei rokunen nigatsu kichijitsu (1629.2) rakuyo Sanjo ju Sadatsune (Sadatsune who lived in Sanjo, Kyoto)
    Sugata [configuration]: katakiri-zukuri, iori-mune with a slight curvature
    Kitae [forging pattern]: ko-itame
    Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome midare with nie, tobiyaki and shirake-utsuri
    Boshi [tip]: jizo on the omote and midare-komi on the ura
    Horimono [carving]: sansuken on the omote and bo-hi ni tsure-bi on the ura
    Nakago [tang]: ubu, kiri file marks and one hole
    Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 13in. (33cm.)
