    Edo period (17th century), signed Masafusa
    Hira-zukuri iori-mune with slight curvature, forged in ko-itame pattern with a gunome tempered edge with utsuri, nie and sunagashi, boshi Jizo on the omote side and ko-maru on the ura with long turnbacks, the omote carved with lightning designs and the ura with blossoming cherry branch, tang ubu, kiri-jiri with kiri file marks and one hole, silver two-piece habaki; 15 3/8in. (39cm.) long; in shirasaya

    19th-century aikuchi koshirae comprising a black lacquer saya mounted with a shakudo ishime-ji kozuka with plum blossoms in shishiai-bori and silver and gold hira-zogan, signed Yamashiro no kuni ju Sawamura saku, the tsuka mounted with shakudo ishimei-ji fuchi-gashira with plum blossoms in iroe taka-zogan, menuki shakudo and copper whorls and iron and gilt ring, shakudo tanto tsuba with gold rim
