The cylidrical finial carved in low relief through the dark brown skin of the stone with bands of interlocking scrolls and rope-twist around the tapering side, the flattened top similarly carved with foliate scrolls and the underside with a band of stylised masks around the central aperture, the stone of a greyish white colour covered to the exterior in a dark brown skin
