    Edo period (17th century), signed Oite Bushu Edo Echizen Yasutsugu (2nd generation)
    Sugata [configuration]: shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, torii-zori, chu-gissaki
    Kitae [forging pattern]: itame mixed with mokume with much chikei and prominent masame running along the shinogi
    Hamon [tempering pattern]: ko-nie deki notare with copious ko-ashi, kinsuji and sunagashi overall and an indistinct habuchi
    Boshi [tip]: midare-komi, ko-maru with a short return
    Nakago [tang]: ubu with katte-sagari file marks and one hole
    Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 26 5/8in. (67.7cm.) Motohaba [width at start of tempered edge]: 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.)
    Sakihaba [with before tip]: 7/8in. (2.3cm.)
    Habaki [collar]: double, gold
    In shirasaya [wood storage scabbard]

    Koshirae [set of mounts]: comprising a black-lacquer saya with a shakudo kojiri carved with a dragon in high relief and gold highlights against waves with dots of foam rendered in gold, the tsuka wrapped in blue silk and mounted with Mino-school shakudo nanakako-ji fuchi-gashira with dragons with ken in gold taka-zogan, signed Hidemitsu and kao and gold dragon menuki; circular iron plate tsuba carved with waves in sunken relief with gold dots of foam
    With Tokubetsu Hozon Token (Sword especially worthy of preserving) certificate no. 143021 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword), dated 1998.2.9 (2)
