    Persian manuscript on grey paper, 4ll. of elegant black nasta'liq within clouds reserved against a gold ground with polychrome floral illumination, the edges with panels of polychrome illumination on cobalt ground, signed al-faqir Mir 'Ali in the bottom corner, laid down on buff paper with silver rules, edges trimmed, very minor losses along the upper edge, mounted

    The quatrain found here itself praises the hand of the scribe. It is signed as "the needy Mir 'Ali", and is likely to be by Mir 'Ali Heravi. The quatrain is probably by him as well. He is reported as being a poet and has praised his hand in another poem also copied by him in the Gulshan Album in the Gulistan Palace Library in Tehran.
