Half title, engraved frontispiece and 13 plates (lightly spotted, very few leaves lightly soiled). Contemporary calf (joints cracked, lightly worn, front cover stained). Provenance: J. LISTER (possibly Joseph Lister, Baron Lister (1827-1912), English surgeon and founder of a system of antiseptic surgery, signature on title) -- British Astronomical Association (stamps on title and pastedown).
