(One leaf worn where the facing plate adhered, as often, some spotting.) Original red leather-backed red cloth, upper side richly gilt with an all-over design, spine with Imperial regalia blocked in gilt, lower side blocked in blind, white moiré endpapers, edges gilt (corners rubbed, small dampstain near the spine foot). Provenance: 'Printed in Russia' (small stamp on the title).
FIRST EDITION. THE RARE RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE ISSUE, bound in red leather and cloth. The coronation album of Alexander III, illustrating the ceremonies and events in Moscow, was printed in a small edition for members of the Imperial family and foreign dignitaries participating in the celebrations on 15 May 1883.
