A collection of approximately 87 letters and cut signatures, the majority by Victorian painters and engravers, also including statesmen and authors, 19th-20th centuries, with four sketches or drawings in ink or watercolour. The correspondents include: John RUSKIN (Edinburgh, 24 July, [n.y.], to W. Bartlett, on paying for two drawings of fish, 2 pages, 8vo); Peter Graham (3), John Collier (1911, on his portrait of Lord Kitchener), Frank Dicksee, Thomas Hughes, and Solomon Joseph Solomon (1909), the cut signatures including William Powell Frith, William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais and Alfred, Lord Tennyson; pasted or loosely inserted into autograph album, small 4to (worn).
