    Gustav EIFFEL. Autograph note signed ('G. Eiffel'), n.p., 20 March 1891, a ticket of admission to the Eiffel Tower, 'Prière de laisser circuler dans la Tour M. Lièvre', one page, oblong 8vo;

    Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de LAFAYETTE. Autograph letter signed ('Lafayette') to Madame Soehnée, La Grange, 22 December 1822, referring to a letter from Le Havre, 'the American city of France, where almost all the convoys arrive from the United States', and mentioning the memoirs of the Marquis d'Argenson, 2/3 page, 4to, integral address leaf;

    and letters by Louis PASTEUR (1871, introducing his son), Auguste RODIN (note on a visiting card), Raymond Poincaré (1908) and Jules Massenet (1894). (6)
