Berlin: Simon Schropp, 1837. 4° (295 x 235mm). 5 wood-engraved plates (outer margins lightly waterstained throughout, stronger in plates, plates lightly browned, spotting). Modern morocco-backed cloth (lightly sunfaded, new endpapers). Provenance: William Porthouse (inscription on title. William Porthouse, an amateur astronomer, produced some fine drawings of the Moon and Planets, and a crater was named after him on the Wilkin's Map of the Moon.) -- E.?G.
