Hurst, 1834. 12°, engraved frontispiece, additional title and 48 line-engraved plates, one folding, with half-title (frontispiece spotted, offsetting to additional title, occasional light creasing), contemporary roan-backed boards, spine gilt lettered, gilt edges. Provenance: George Jacob Bosanquet (bookplate). FIRST EDITION. Also includes skating, swimming and boxing. Lowndes VII, p. 2811.

London: Thomas Hurst, 1837. 12°, engraved frontispiece, additional title and 33 line-engraved plates, 2 woodcut diagrams (half-title soiled, a few plates detached, several spotted), original brown cloth by Remnant and Edmonds with cover vignette of two batsmen, gilt edges (small white paint flecks and ink spots on front cover and spine, endpapers soiled, front free endpaper lacking). FIRST EDITION. Includes cricket pp. 214-236 with a plate and two full-page woodcut diagrams of fielding positions. Also golf p. 178, tennis p. 258, and long or open tennis p. 298.
