    ESCORBIAC, Jean d'. La Christiade, ou Poeme Sacre contenant l' Histoire Saincte du Prince de la vie. Paris: Pierre Coderc, 1613. 8°. Title within woodcut border, headpieces and initials. Contemporary citron morocco gilt, the covers with a repeated pattern of small fleur-de-lys in large central panel, the outer panels containing coronets and a foliate design, gilt edges (lower joints splitting, extremities rubbed, some staining and minor burn marks). Provenance: CHATSWORTH (bookplate of Spencer Compton, VIII Duke of Devonshire on front pastedown and William, Duke of Devonshire on verso of title). Brunet II, 1056-7.
